Not just career advice for teens but career planning skills for life

We don’t need research to tell us that career decision making is one of the most stressful processes faced by young people. Although, the research does tell us that, by the way.

We’ve designed a programme to help young adults get clearer on what type of work or study they want to do as well as learning career planning skills they can repeat again and again, throughout their working life.

They’ll start by understanding a heap more about themselves including their strengths; values; and when they’re in the zone. They’ll explore the impact of different types of work, what kind of impact they’d like to make and learn about the crucial skills to succeed in the working world they’ll be stepping into. They’ll pull everything together and come away with the knowledge of what their ideal career looks like, a career plan and skills to put that plan into action.

We use Design Thinking as the framework for the programme so, as an added bonus, they learn a bit about that too.

Who is this for?

Students who have yet to join the workforce full-time and are considering what to do when they leave school, tertiary studies or want to get focused, following a break from study. Typically the programme is most effective for anyone in the Year 12 age group and older.

For individuals we offer three, 1.5 hour coaching sessions for $750 incl gst.

Sessions can be face to face at our Auckland coaching space in Westmere or via Zoom.

We can start with a 30min complimentary, no obligation session to get to know each other and answer any questions.

If you’re a school or organisation that supports young people and would like to run one of our two-day, career planning bootcamps for a group of your young people we’d love to help.

“Being in a gap year I didn't know what I wanted to do. This programme made me look at all my options and help figure out what path I want to take.”

— ex Green Bay High School student

“I learned so much about myself and my values and how they correlate to when I’m in the zone.”

— Year 13, St Peter’s College

“Back in March we booked our daughter in for a couple of weekend sessions with you. I just wanted to let you know that she has just signed up to pursue her “crazy dream plan”, with her “Plan A” as a conjoint. I remember asking you why you get the students to write down a crazy dream & your answers were really interesting. Thank you for making that a part of your very valuable course.”

— Mother of Year 13, St Cuthbert’s
