Next for you: A fresh take on career transition support
Our Next for you programme helps people affected by change to take stock and tune in to what is important to them.
They will more deeply understand their strengths and values and how their current skills could be repurposed for a new role or career direction. In the process of taking stock we encourage people to think about what work could give them greater personal meaning. Our process encourages participants to map out and explore multiple career options. It is amazing how often someone’s ‘crazy plan’ doesn’t seem so crazy when they really dig into it!
Of course, we also do all the usual stuff to get them job market fit, like helping to create a kick-arse CV and LinkedIn profile and preparing for job interviews.
We deliver Next: for you in a series of four, 3-hour workshops in small groups (8-16 people). This programme is best if you have a larger number of people affected by change. People really enjoy supporting each other and feel a sense of positive momentum during a tough time.
Some organisations run workshops ahead of the change being confirmed so everyone is a bit more change ready and clearer on what they need for a job they can love, before putting themselves forward for new roles, or not.
If your organisational change affects only a small number of people we also support individuals with one-to-one career coaching.
We know that mojos take a bit of a pounding through redundancy and change. A big focus of the programme is rebooting mindsets. We want people to feel good about themselves and amp’d about what’s next for them!
“The programme put me in control of my career, gave me strength and solace, and made me feel not alone.”
— Geena, Communications Manager
“I got a lot out of it. A lot of practical stuff. It enabled me to take something huge in my mind and start to slice and dice it in a way that was more manageable. I came out of each session buzzing and felt like I had steps and a direction to follow.”
— Janice, Product owner, tech industry
